MYAH – A Tripawd-Goldendood's Story

Myah has always spent her weekdays as a professional canine Greeter at The Ringmaker

As she is healing from her surgery, Myah is definitely much happier to be able to resume any of her normal activities. She has always preferred things to be the same way every day. She is an “Obsessive Compulsive Doodle” [ocd]

So she has enjoyed being able to return to work!  Any photos and videos I show here, often show the best part of her days.  She is still having good days and bad days. I did start her on Gabapentin late on Monday, and that really made a difference for her!  Much less whining and crying out. That in turn helps me keep happy thoughts. Which in turn helps her stay positive!

Being back at ‘work’,  She pretty much is able to self-regulate how much she actually greets each day. She knows when to chill, and when she can hop on out front to say “Hi!” to an arriving customer.  She is really good at using an ‘economy of movement’ during her days. If she goes out front to greet someone, instead of returning to her bed, she will lay down right where she is, and then stay there until she decides it’s time to move closer to her ‘dad’ or get some water, etc…

She worked a partial day on Tuesday, and really didn’t do much except recuperate.

She worked a longer day on Wednesday, that was a bit much for her. Although she did go out to greet a few times.  On Thursday, [post op, day 8] she began to wag her tail more, and spend some short periods of time acting a bit closer to ‘her normal’

In this photo collage, you will see two other canine greeters. (Technically they are my furry siblings, which makes them Myah’s Aunts. 😉

Always hogging to get in any photos, is little Ruby, a Silky Terrier. Also lurking in one photo you’ll notice Peggy-Sue. She is a rescue, and her specific breed is called [by me] a “scruffy dog”
